How do I enable billing in the GovCloud Duplo portal?

Context Customers using AWS GovCloud may want to enable billing visibility within their Duplo portal to track costs and see billing breakdowns by tenant. However, unlike commercial AWS accounts, GovCloud has specific limitations that affect how billing information can be accessed and displayed. Answer Unfortunately, billing cannot be directly enabled in the GovCloud Duplo portal due to AWS GovCloud limitations. AWS GovCloud accounts do not support the same billing and cost reporting features available in commercial AWS accounts. However, there is a potential workaround: Use the Commercial Associated Account: Billing data for GovCloud accounts is available in the corresponding commercial AWS account that is associated with your GovCloud account. Set up Cost and Usage Reports: In the commercial associated account, you can configure AWS Cost and Usage Reports with allocation tags. Group by Tenant: Configure the billing report to group resources by the TENANT_NAME tag to get a breakdown of costs by tenant. Important Limitations: This approach requires cross-account coordination between your GovCloud and commercial accounts The billing data will not appear directly in the GovCloud Duplo portal This setup has not been extensively tested for GovCloud environments and may not work exactly as it does for commercial accounts If you need billing visibility by tenant for your GovCloud deployment, contact Duplo support to discuss setting up this workaround solution in your commercial associated account.
